Freddie Highmore has grown up a lot since his epic performance in the A&E’s Bates Motel. The show got him a People’s Choice Award and a three times nomination for the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series. After the show wrapped, the star has been shinning lately in ABC’s Good Doctor for a while. But, now he is all set to be seen in the upcoming Jaume Balagueró directorial “The Vault.” A heist film where he will be starring alongside Game Of Throne’s Liam Cunningham. Among most of the heist films getting released this year with variety, The Vault seems to be more of a darker and serious take on the genre, which hits close. We got our fingers crossed for it.

The Plot & Trailer For “The Vault”
The official plot for The Vault says that Thom Laybrick, a young engineer played by Freddie Highmore starts dwelling interest into a bank in pain. A building that is 100 years old. Soon, Thom figures out more about the building, which leads him into a National Treasure, which is set to be withheld in the bank’s safe for just 10 days. Thom teams up with Walter Moreland, played by Liam Cunnigham, to attempt a heist. They will have 90 minutes while the Bank’s staff will be busy watching the 2010 Football World Cup final match, which sees Spain’s National team playing. You can check out the trailer, and it’s the breakdown below.
The Vault – Trailer Breakdown
We move into the trailer with Liam Cunnigham’s voice starting it off as he stars as Walter Moreland, who has a job for Thom Laybrick. As Walter introduces himself as the owner of a salvage business, he asks Laybrick for help in breaking into the “World’s Most Secure Vault.” Initially, Thom takes it as a joke and laughs off until he sees Walter’s serious face.
In the next frame, we see Walter giving a history lesson about the treasure on how Francis Drake stole it and also the in-depth security maintained by Spain’s government to protect it. Walter makes it clear that he needs Thom’s mind to break in for the treasure and introduces him to the other teammates. The team includes actors ranging from Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Sam Riley, and Luis Toser. Everyone will be working together to execute the plan.
The next we see a more in-depth detail about The Vault that the team is planning to break in. The trailer says no one has figured out how the Vault opens for the last many years. Furthermore, Sam Riley’s character clearly states that if the mission fails, they are going down for a long time, especially when the whole Spanish army will be surrounding it.
The team gets only 90 minutes with the 2010 Football World Cup being played on the big screens outside the bank. The game will take away people’s attention and the army from the bank as the crowd starts gathering. They go through ups and downs throughout the mission, which will see in more detail in the upcoming heist thriller directed by Jaume Balagueró titled “The Vault.”
